Keratin bond hair extensions are a type of extension that is attached to your own hair and are designed to create both length and volume. The bond is made up of natural proteins similar to your hair and nails, meaning it does not cause damage or irritation to your scalp, unlike adhesives, and allows natural flexibility of your hair. The application process is quick and involves applying the individual strands of extensions to your own hair with keratin bonds with a heating fusion machine the same temperature as a straightener.
Keratin bonds last on average 8-12 weeks, which is dependant on your own hair type, individual growth, your own hair quality, lifestyle and adherence to the recommended hair care schedule. When left in for more than four months, the regrowth starts to tangle and can cause breakage to your own hair. We recommend coming in every 6-8 weeks for a maintenance appointment so we can ensure clean up of any outgrown hair to ensure no knotting or damage occurs.
Hair extensions using keratin bonds feel natural and blend exceptionally well in all hair textures, in addition to being easy to tie up + style. They are perfect for fine hair, and are fully customisable causing almost no damage (note: although minimal, anything done to hair will cause some damage. Keratin bonded extensions cause the least damage of all extension types, and it is mostly important to not leave in extensions too long).
Keratin bonds are also the least detectable method, meaning they are easy to tie up in a ponytail, bun, or half up-half down style.

A 1/4 head includes 25g of hair to add thickness to your hair and is suited to those with shorter hair who are looking to add volume.
A 1/2 head includes 50g of hair and can be used for both mid-length or longer hair to add volume and enhance layers.
A 3/4 head includes 75g of hair and can be used to add length and volume to any length hair.
A full head includes 100g of hair and is best suited to those with shorter or mid-length hair to create a nice full, long and volumous result.
A full head and a half includes 150g of hair and is for those looking for extra thick, long hair and what has come to be known as the ‘mermaid hair’ result.
